Tomato-Yam Bisque


with Curry & Garam Masala















































Sweet yams combine with tomatoes, herbs, and spices 2 tablespoons Spectrum walnut, or olive oil
for a wonderful, warming, delicious bisque, that’s 2 teaspoons slippery elm bark (makes the bisque
thick as thick can be! velvety smooth, and it’s also very soothing to the
digestion)
Ingredients: Serves 4 1 teaspoon curry powder
2 cups pure water 1 teaspoon garam masala
1 and 1/2 -cups yam, cut into 1/2 inch cubes 1/2 teaspoon coriander
2-3 tomatoes, depending on size 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
1/4 cup leeks rounds, sliced about 1/4 inch thick 1/4 teaspoon Himalayan salt
24 cilantro leaves Garnish: Fresh chopped tomatoes, a few cilantro
10-12 sundried tomatoes leaves, and a sprinkle of pine nuts only if fresh,
2-3 Medjool dates and a tiny drizzle of oil.
