a few minutes if you want something cooked. You
may wish to begin a meal with an energizing fresh
juice, and end with a favorite tea or drink. I’ve
also included for each menu a “Start Your Day”
recipe, because if you’re like I used to be on busy
holidays, breakfast was something I often skipped.
Having a light, healthy meal makes a big difference
in maintaining energy levels throughout the day.
My dream for every holiday that
we celebrate is to feel the joy, to savor and
appreciate the abundance in our lives, and to be
at peace—soaking up all the goodness in heart-
warming, memorable moments with family and
friends. This sharing with people is the core and
essence, because to me it’s all about connecting
in meaningful ways. This is what creates the
memories that can last a lifetime. The time and
care spent in making something memorable can
nourish a person for many years to come. An
attitude of abundance with food and gifts, no
matter how much or how little, and of being
together, truly is enough.
