The Art of Intuitive Eating
Our lives,
so seemingly small,
ripple out
to the whole universe
as tiny whispers
like the sounds
of butterfly wings,
and the clear voice
of the living truth.

Hello Everyone! Thank you so much for visiting The Healing Feast! We'd like to share with you a little bit about how this site came to be.
For Rex and myself, healing is one of the most beautiful words, and the way we become whole. There are so many levels and ways to approach healing, and every person's way is unique. Over the years, healing has been an intuitive process as we've learned how to work with the various flows of energy or information that is coming through in any given moment—and by listening to the accompanying inner guidance that suggests what to do.
It is our belief that through listening to this inner wisdom we come to understand what foods are best to eat, what life-style is best to pursue and enjoy—and what practices can be established for our benefit. This innate knowingness enables us to change any part of our lives through intention, listening, and taking action.
Our particular road to greater health has spanned over thirty-eight years, and has encompassed many traditions, from becoming vegetarians, then vegans, and now as raw foodists. We have used herbs, flower essences, chiropractic, homeopathy, naturopathy, neurolink, massage, and other healing arts as avenues to gain greater health and wholeness. All the while, we have had a passion with the foods we eat, and over the last seven years, have changed to eating 98-100% raw foods. Because of this history in health and healing, we are overflowing with experiences that we want to share.

At the base of our on-going transformation are daily spiritual practices where we aspire to touch the healing, uplifting, and restorative power of divine love, and to connect with the Holy Spirit. This spills over to include love for ourselves, love for others, and the desire to give something back to the world. For us, love is the most important food of all because love is life, and life is the expression of love. Hence, "the art of intuitive eating, and living a love-based life".
Each week on The Healing Feast a new recipe and a little story, or poem, will appear. Rex realized that if one single recipe becomes a "staple recipe" it's worth its weight in gold. Most of us tend to eat the same foods year after year and often have about ten or fifteen "standards", like pasta, rice, chicken, sandwiches, or pizza. For this reason the idea of presenting a weekly recipe was born. One new dish a week can usually be incorporated into our busy schedules. And often, there will be several recipes that tie in together (like Sunflower Seed Cheese to go with a tomato dish that uses the seed cheese), or variations from a recipe to give you more options.
The recipes will be made with "living foods"—foods au naturel in their uncooked states. Fruits, veggies, soaked nuts, seeds, fermented foods and sprouts can bring added life, vitality, and enzymes into our lives to help restore our bodies. In short, a healing feast!
The Healing Feast is about our personal journey, what we've discovered and are learning, and how we're evolving and changing. Intuitive eating is not about judging what others eat because whether we're vegans, vegetarians, omnivores, fruitarians, raw foodists, or breatharians, every person is unique and has a specific life path.
This site is not about changing anyone to be like us, but to share what we are experiencing, and in this way, to support each and every one of you in discovering and becoming your most authentic, beautiful self.
